How to Write on Plastic
- 1). Select a pen color that fits your needs or desires. If the plastic is clear, select a pen in a dark or bright color that will show vividly on the plastic. If the plastic is dark and opaque, select a light colored pen (white or almond color). If the plastic is light colored and opaque, select a dark color that will contrast with the light color of the plastic.
- 2). Remove the pen cap and write directly on the plastic with the pen. Write carefully and do not make mistakes because these pens are permanent and you will likely not succeed in wiping the ink from the plastic to correct an error. Continue writing with the pens until you finish labeling the plastic surface.
- 3). Allow the ink from the pens to dry completely before touching the surface. While the ink is wet, it may smudge or smear if you touch it with your fingers or if any other surfaces rub onto the plastic surface.
