How to Remove Old Grease Stains
- 1). Spray the grease stain with lubricant spray. Allow the lubricant to absorb into the stain for five minutes.
- 2). Mix liquid dish detergent with baking soda in a cup to form a paste. The paste should have the consistency of toothpaste.
- 3). Spread the paste onto the stain with a paper towel. Lightly scrub the fabric with a toothbrush to work the paste into the stain. Allow the paste to set on the stain for 10 minutes.
- 4). Dampen a washcloth with water, and then wipe the paste off the fabric with the washcloth.
- 5). Wash the fabric in a washing machine with cold water according to instructions on the tag. Allow the fabric to air-dry.
