• From late April through mid-October, Norwegian Cruise Line offers a 7-day round-trip cruise from Boston to Bermuda. As of April of 2010, the Norwegian Dawn and the Norwegian Spirit offers fares ranging from $619 for an inside cabin up to $1,849 for a suite. Travelers have the opportunity to explore Bermuda as the ship docks at King's Wharf for three days. The cruise line offers hotel packages for stays in Boston as well. Both vessels feature 12 restaurants, at least eight bars/lounges, a fitness center, a spa, and multiple swimming pools and hot tubs.

13-Night Special Caribbean Cruise

• Sail aboard the Jewel of the Seas, a vessel which transports travelers from the port of Boston to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Stops along the way include Barbados, Aruba and Curacao. The line sales only once, in late October. In April of 2010, fares for interior and outside cabins ran from $1,200-$1,400. Cabins equipped with balconies cost $1,800 while the deluxe suites cost approximately $3,100. The Jewel of the Seas features such amenities as a day spa, a fitness center, volleyball/basketball courts, a billiards room and a theater featuring live music performances.

7-Day Canada & New England Discovery

• Holland America offers a 7-day cruise from Boston to Montreal, Canada, with a stop along the way in the New England city of Bar Harbor, Maine. Other ports of call include Halifax, Nova Scotia and Charlottetown, Prince Edward. The cruise runs from early June to early October. As of April 2010, fares start off at $800 for interior cabins and top off at $3,600 for deluxe verandah suites. The line's ship, the ms Maasdam, features a host of perks including a casino, a swimming pool, a fitness center, a piano bar and a culinary arts center complete with demonstrations.
