How to Clean an Oster 76

8
    • 1). Unplug the Oster 76 clipper blades.

    • 2). Remove any built up hair and dead skin cells with an unwanted tooth brush. Performing this cleaning over a garbage can will help prevent a mess.

    • 3). Fill a shallow bowl half full with clipper blade wash.

    • 4). Submerge the clipper blades into the shallow bowl. The metal blade should lay flush against the bottom of the bowl.

    • 5). Plug the Oster 76 clipper into the wall and turn it to the "On" position.

    • 6). Run the clippers for three to five minutes. It is normal for the clippers to sound louder as the cleaning process continues. This is caused by the removal of hair, which was not allowing the clippers to work at maximum efficiency.

    • 7). Lift the clipper blades from the blade wash and wipe them clean with a soft cloth.

    • 8). Spread one to two drops of oil over the clipper blades. This will ensure that the blades run more smoothly and do not rust.

    • 9). Store the Oster 76 clippers in their original plastic container, if possible. Otherwise, the clippers can be stored by wrapping it in a soft cloth and placing the unit in an airtight container.
