The Best Way to Clean Your Percolator Coffee Pot
- 1). Remove the filter from the percolator coffee pot, and rinse the inside with water to remove any grounds.
- 2). Fill the percolator pot half way with water. Fill it the rest of the way full with white vinegar. Place a new filter into the pot, and plug into an electrical outlet or place on a burner on the stove. Allow the vinegar and water to percolate through the machine. Remove the pot from the heat source, and pour the vinegar water into the sink.
- 3). Fill the percolator pot with clean water. Run clean water through the pot two times to rinse it thoroughly.
- 4). Fill a sink with hot water and 2 tbsp. dish soap. Wash the pot in the soapy water with a dishrag, removing all loosened stains inside the pot and filter basket.
- 5). Rinse the pot with hot water, and dry with a dish towel.
