How to Clean Lane Upholstery
- 1). Vacuum all of the upholstery on your Lane furniture. As recommended by the company, this should be done about once a week. Flipping and fluffing cushions on a weekly basis is also beneficial.
- 2). Check the cleaning code, which can be found on the description tag of your furniture. The cleaning code will either be a W, an S, a WS or a V.
- 3). Use the foam from a mild detergent to clean W and WS labeled upholstery, a mild water-free solvent to clean S upholstery and only a mild soap and a little warm water to clean V upholstery. Test each cleaner on a covered spot of the upholstery before proceeding, just in case the fabric doesn't respond well.
- 4). Apply the cleaner gently to the upholstery with a soft brush, moving in a circular pattern. Then, gently remove the cleaner by brushing it with warm water. For larges messes, however, and especially upholstery that has an S or a V code, Lane recommends that you contact a professional to clean your furniture.
- 5). Vacuum the upholstery again after you have given it time to air dry.
