How to Repair Scratched Glass on Ceramic Stove Tops
- 1). Clean the stove top with the dish liquid, a little warm water and the non-scratch sponge. Pay close attention to the scratches. Do not scrub the scratched area, but make sure that the scratches themselves are clean. Dry thoroughly with paper towels and rinse your sponge out completely.
- 2). Combine three parts baking soda to one part water in a mixing bowl. You want the consistency to be like a paste, so add more baking soda or water if you need to thicken or thin out the mix.
- 3). Use the non-scratch sponge to apply the baking soda paste to the stove top. Use circular motions to work the baking soda around the the whole surface, not just the scratches, but pay a little more attention to the scratches. Thoroughly rinse out the sponge again.
- 4). Wipe the baking soda paste off the glass/ceramic stove top using paper towels. Use the sponge and clean water to rinse all traces of the baking soda off.
- 5). Buff the stove top using the microfiber cloth in the same circular motions that you used to apply the baking soda paste. If there are still scratches present, repeat the whole process, applying slightly more pressure when adding the paste.
